Definition:

Greenfield international airport at Hirasar, Rajkot district, Gujarat (IATA: RAJ). Inaugurated 27 July 2023 by PM Modi; new terminal opened 9 February 2025. Cost ₹2,654 crore. Runway: 9,974 ft concrete.

Context & Usage

Hirasar is the primary Saurashtra-region airport. Air cargo operations have commenced; 2025-26 footfall: 12.46 lakh, cargo tonnage +84.4% YoY. Wings places airport-management alumni at Hirasar.
