NOTAM (Notice to Air Missions)

Definition:

Time-critical aeronautical information distributed by AAI/AIM and global AIS networks — e.g. runway closures, navaid outages, airspace restrictions.

Context & Usage

NOTAMs are reviewed by pilots in the operational flight plan. Cabin crew and dispatchers are aware of major NOTAMs affecting their roster.
